Cruden Bay stretches along the Grampian coastline for approximately 2 miles and is home to a wide, golden, sandy beach. It is a popular place to swim, there is even an electronic board detailing the current water quality. Water sports are also popular on the beach, which often attracts surfers. The small village and harbour of Cruden Bay can be found at the northern end of the beach. Parking is available either by the harbour or in the village centre. The beach can be reached from the village across a small pedestrian bridge over the river mouth which separates it.
